In addition to developing Kathará and its educational resources, the Association is actively engaged in the following projects:
Emulation-based Digital Twin for IXPs
A comprehensive tool for generating an emulation-based digital twin for Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), enabling IXPs to test and validate route server configurations, policies, and operations in a safe, controlled environment before deploying changes to production systems.
ROuting SEcurity Tool
ROSE-T (ROuting SEcurity Tool) is a collaborative research initiative between the
Kathará Development Association and OpenAccess Italia.
This project focuses on developing a tool able to automatically verify that a certain router
configuration is MANRS-compliant to the Network Operator Guidelines.
This collaboration leverages OpenAccess Italia's expertise in digital culture promotion and network infrastructure, combined with Kathará's network emulation capabilities to create comprehensive security solutions.
